Oregano Oil As a Remedy For Yeast Infections by Suzanne Graham
High in antioxidants, oregano has been celebrated for centuries for its healing properties. Revered by the Greeks as the herb of Aphrodite, it was placed on the heads of young loves during wedding ceremonies. This magical herb has been thought to work wonders as a natural remedy for colds and coughs.
Under recent scrutiny, oregano has been found to possess qualities that weaken parasites, bacteria, and yeast, eventually killing them. Candida sufferers unite in their modern day celebration of how this herb has aided in combating yeast infections.
Many of us are aware that yeast infections can occur on the skin, penis, and vagina. However it is less common to know that yeast can spread into the body causing digestive disorders and kidney malfunction. This can lead to weight retention, kidney malfunction, and digestive ulcers.

Taken internally, it also acts as an anti-inflammatory assisting with the aches and pains associated with an internal yeast infection.
Not only a remedy, oregano oil can be used as a preventative measure for staving off yeast infections. Many people are afflicted with yeast infections in the folds of the skin, and this oil serves as a relieving prevention for future inflammation. For those women who get frequent vaginal yeast infections, a treatment of highly diluted oregano oil applied to the affected once or twice per month can prevent future discomfort.
A word to the wise: show caution when applying oregano oil topically. If the concentration is too strong, it can eat away at the skin. Be sure you are using food grade oregano oil and avoiding essential Oils that are way too strong. Food grade oil has been tested to produce an ideal concentration for health and healing.
