Is Essential Oil for burning different than other essential Oils?
I have this Lavender Essential Oil that I use on my oil burner. It says on its bottle: “not for consumption.”
Are there other types of Essential Oils that are for consumption? Like applying to skin?

Definitely there are different types of essential oils – different species, different methods of production etc.
Even quality natural essential oils vary in the safety with which they can be used internally. Some essential oils, even if very high quality, should not ever be used internally, or should be used only for a limited time in order to be safe.
The other reason this kind of warning appears is that in many countries there are government regulations regarding the labeling of essential oils and it may be a legal requirement that essential oils sold other than through a qualified practitioner, have to be labeled this way.
My best advice is that unless you are being treated by a properly qualified medical aromatherapist, do not take the risk of taking essential oils internally as it is very easy to get it wrong!
